Creating Stages

In this guide, we'll show you step by step how to create your first stage in OPaaS.

Start Creating a Stage

Before you start, gather the following information:

  • Version - Odoo version you want to run
  • Language - As initial language select between English, German and French

Enter Basic Information

  1. Click the "+" button on the left sidebar
  2. Give a name for your new stage
  3. Select the Odoo version
  4. Select a language
  5. Click "Add" to save and add your stage

Additinal Configuration

In additon to the Basic information you can follow up the following steps for further configuration:

  • Fork selection:
    • If you want a copy of an existing stage, select a fork with the same Odoo version
  • If you only want database without filestore, select the PSQL-only button
  • Click Add

If you select a valid fork, the stage creation will take more time depending on the size of the forked stage.

What Happens Now?

After creating the stage:

  1. Repository is synchronized - OPaaS loads information from your Git repository
  2. stage is created - Your stage is being prepared for deployment

Opening the Project

After creation, you can:

  1. Click on the stage in the staging list
  2. The History page opens
  3. Here you'll see the status of your environments
Tips

Stage names: Use clear, descriptive names
Environments: Start with one environment and add more later
Settings: Start with default settings
Documentation: Document the purpose of each environment
